FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

Section 2: AIA Vitality Status / Points Accumulation / Health App Connection

Vitality Status refers to the level a member achieves based on the points accumulated by completing health-related activities defined by the program.

All members start at Bronze status. As you engage in health activities and earn more Vitality points, you can move up to Silver, Gold, and ultimately Platinum status. The higher your status, the greater the benefits you receive.

You can view the points required for each status in the table provided.

  1. Benefit Status: This status determines your insurance benefits and partner privileges. It changes when your current membership year’s points exceed those earned in the previous year. At the start of a new membership year, your status will reflect the points earned in the prior year.

  2. Current Year Status: This reflects the points you have earned so far in the current membership year.

Vitality points can be earned by participating in a variety of health and wellness activities. As you earn more points, you can progress through higher membership statuses and enjoy enhanced rewards and benefits.

1) Online Assessment - Complete an online assessment, undergo a health screening, consult a nutritionist, and receive preventive vaccinations.

2) Exercise - Once you have completed health assessment activities, the app will calculate the health information obtained and assign health and wellness missions to you. Earn additional points by participating in health-related activities, such as mini marathons, or by purchasing healthy food from our partners.

3) Activities - Track your steps, exercise, and sleep by connecting your health app to the AIA+ app. Points from various activities are subject to maximum accumulation limits per day and per membership year, such as exercise points being awarded only for the highest-scoring activity completed per day, and a maximum of 15,000 points being awarded per membership year. In addition, points in certain categories are subject to the member’s age and gender, such as cervical cancer screening or prostate cancer marker screening.

4.1 Online Assessments

What online assessments can earn points?

1) “How Healthy Are You?”

2) “How Stressed Are You?”

3) “How Healthy Is Your Diet?”

4) “How Often Do You Exercise?”

5) “How Well Do You Sleep?”

6) “Non-Smoker Declaration”

I just completed the “How Healthy Is Your Diet?” assessment but didn’t earn points. I thought I could earn 500 points every time I do this assessment.

You can complete the “How Healthy Is Your Diet?” assessment as often as you like, but you will only earn 500 points every 6 months. Combined with a nutritionist consultation, you can earn up to 2,500 points per membership year.

I entered my height and weight during the online health assessment but didn’t earn points for BMI.

Vitality points for BMI are awarded through basic health checks, fitness tests, or nutritionist consultations, which require professional verification and supporting documents.

I’m pregnant. Should I complete the “How Healthy Are You?” assessment or undergo a basic health check?

Yes, you can still complete the “How Healthy Are You?” assessment or have a basic health check. However, you will not receive weight-loss goals during pregnancy, and your Vitality Age may be inaccurate as pregnancy is not factored into the calculation.

4.2 Health Checks and Vaccinations

How many points can I earn from health checks each year?

You can earn up to 6,000 Vitality points per membership year from basic health checks if your results are within the normal range. Additional points can be earned from advanced health checks, which vary by age and gender. Therefore, the maximum points for all health checks differ for each member.

I recently had a health check and vaccinations. Can I use these results to claim points?

Yes! Simply submit your basic health check results, receipts for advanced health checks, or vaccination records via the AIA+ app. Documents must clearly show your name, date, and location of service, and claims must be submitted within 90 days.

Can I claim points if I submit documents more than one year old?

No. You must submit health check and vaccination evidence within 90 days of the service date.

Do I need to have health checks or vaccinations at partner hospitals?

No. You can visit any hospital, but partner hospitals offer special rates for AIA Vitality members. You can also get three basic checks (BMI, blood pressure, and blood glucose) at Boots stores.

What is a basic health check, and how do I earn points?

A basic health check helps identify risk factors for serious diseases and includes:

  • Body Mass Index (BMI)

  • Blood Pressure

  • Blood Glucose

  • Total Cholesterol

You can earn up to 6,000 points per year by submitting your results via Health Assessment > Basic Health Check > Claim Points in the AIA+ app.

I was advised by my doctor to undergo a mammogram or prostate cancer screening, but I’m not yet in the eligible age range for the program.

You can still claim points if the advanced health check was recommended by your doctor. To claim points, please submit a medical certificate or receipt along with supporting documents explaining the reason for the test. AIA Vitality staff will review your documents and award points accordingly.

4.3 Fitness test

Can I take a fitness test at a non-partner gym and submit the results to earn points?

No. Members must complete the fitness test at one of the program’s partner gyms: Fitness First, Celebrity Fitness, or Absolute Gym to earn Vitality points. After completing the test, don’t forget to submit your results via the app to claim points.

4.4 Dental Check

I had a dental cleaning at a clinic. Can I claim points?

Yes. Dental health services such as scaling, root planing, fillings, or implants performed by a qualified dentist—whether at a clinic or hospital—are eligible. Submit a medical certificate or receipt via the AIA+ app to claim points.

4.5 Vitality Age

How is my Vitality Age calculated?

Your Vitality Age is calculated based on your answers to online assessments, analyzing how your lifestyle impacts your life expectancy. Health check results and other health data, such as nutrition consultations or fitness assessments at partner gyms, are also factored in. Your Vitality Age may be higher or lower than your actual age depending on your overall lifestyle and health habits.

Points from activities will appear in the Points History section within 72 hours after completion. If your points do not appear, please email us or call 1581. For activities such as health checks, vaccinations, dental exams, fitness assessments, and nutrition consultations, you must submit results, medical certificates, or receipts via the AIA+ app to claim points.

Your Vitality Status for each membership year remains valid throughout that year and carries over into the next year. However, points do not roll over. At the start of a new membership year, your points reset to 0, and you must earn points again to maintain or upgrade your status.

Example:

  • Year 1: You earn enough points to reach Gold status and enjoy Gold benefits immediately.
  • Year 2: You start with 0 points but retain Gold benefits until you reach Platinum. Your status at the end of Year 2 determines your benefits for Year 3.

Yes! However, syncing data for points depends on the time zone of the country you are in. When you return to Thailand, your step data may show slight discrepancies due to time adjustments.

If you suspect your points are incorrect, please contact your agent or call 1581. Our staff may request additional details and supporting documents for verification.

No. Vitality points and benefits cannot be transferred to other individuals or family members.
