5 significant signs of diabetes

1. Urinate frequently  

Try to observe yourself how often you go to the toilet. The frequent urination is the beginning stage of diabetes because the kidney is trying to get rid of excess blood glucose. That is why your blood glucose level gets higher.

2. Always being thirsty 

You might have a possibility to be diagnosed with diabetes if you always feel thirsty even though you drink a lot of water or do not have the exercise with so much sweat.

3. Slow healing wounds 

Another crucial sign that should not be overlooked is slow healing wounds. This happens because of your body cannot control blood glucose level well, which affects to working process of blood vessel and causes slow healing wounds and risk of infection. 

4. Losing weight

If you unintentionally lose weight, you might have a risk to be diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. For type 2 diabetes, which is often detected in Thai people are overweight (BMI over 24.9)

5. Feeling tired than usual 

Some people might feel exhausted even they have enough sleep. This could be the sign of high blood glucose level, which is the beginning stage of type 2 diabetes.

Difference between type 1 and 2 diabetes
•    Type 1 diabetes is a condition which your body lacks of insulin because the pancreas can’t produce the insulin. It’s genetically related and can’t be prevented.
•    Type 2 diabetes is a condition when the body does not respond to the insulin efficiently and this can be prevented.

However, the regular exercise, proper food intake, no smoking and control of your blood pressure and fat level at the normal level will help reducing the risk of diabetes or detecting the disease more quickly in order to receive the proper and immediate medical treatment.
